Saif Abrar, PhD is a highly experienced and accomplished professional with over 16 years of experience in system-level HW/SW simulation R&D, verification and leadership. He has worked with IBM, Intel, and Philips for client projects, academic collaborations, and publications. Saif has extensive experience with IBM POWER & OpenPower HPC systems, Intel mobile communication platforms, Philips TriMedia VLIW & R.E.A.L. DSP cores, Arm & MIPS embedded systems, and US DoE SUMMIT hybrid supercomputer. As an IBM Academic Ambassador, Saif has contributed to the organization at various levels, from working with senior execs to cross-functional global teams, team leadership to project planning & management, driving academic collaborations, publishing papers in international conferences of repute, hiring teams, mentoring juniors, and innovation management. He has expertise in system-level HW/SW simulation for functional behavior, approximate and cycle-accurate modeling, performance analysis & optimizations, software bringup-up and debug, RTL pre-Si verification, and power dissipation. Saif has filed patents in the field of TCL-to-assembly flow, high-level modeling, and identification. He is also interested in AI and quantum computing. Saif has a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Computer Engineering from Tallinna Tehnikaülikool, a Master of Technology (M.Tech.) in VLSI Design, Tools, and Technology from Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi, and a Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech.) in Computer Engineering from Aligarh Muslim University. Currently, Saif Abrar is an Advisory Systems Engineer at IBM, responsible for research, architect, develop and analyze system-level models, tools, and FW for IBM POWER cores and systems, using Simics, C++, TCL, Python. He is also involved in team hiring, academic relations, conference presentations, mentoring juniors and students. Saif has previously worked as a Member of Technical Staff at Infineon Technologies and Intel, where he developed, integrated and optimized high-level simulation models of Infineon wireless SoCs using SystemC and Intel mobile communication SoCs using SystemC, respectively. Saif's Tech Stack includes Python, Senior Software Engineer, AI, Software Engineer, Research Scientist, Mobile, and Integration. He is interested in team leadership, system-level HW/SW R&D, innovations, HPC/embedded systems, trainings, patents, mentoring, and cultural relations. Saif is
